Tips Galore!

A few weeks ago I saw this post on Chris' blog. I had NO idea they had a cake decorating tool box! I HAD to get it. All of my cake decorating supplies were currently in zip lock bags. (They were in a box before the move, but I got rid of the box to conserve space, but still...how tacky is a brown box?)

Like the thrifty shopper that I am, I waited until I got a 40% off coupon from Michael's until I made the purchase.Needless to say this has been one of the best purchases I have made in a long time.

Since we are on the decorating subject, last week was our last French class so I made French inspired cupcakes for everyone. (I also made some small French flags that I stuck in them but I didn't get a photo.)
The French class was a great introduction to the language but we didn't really learn how to converse with each other. John and I will be starting the Rosetta Stone this summer, so hopefully that will give us the extra practice. 3.5 months until our trip...time to book some tickets!

Instant Fashion Designer

Look what John and saw at Michael's today:
It's a personal screen-printing machine! How cool is this? One of the employees at Michael's even gave us a demo, and the end result looked pretty good. The image looked like one you would buy on a shirt in a store. Could you imagine making your own custom shirts? How cool would that be? It's very tempting. We will see if we are still thinking about it in a few days.

Feliz Cinco De Mayo

Happy Cinco de Mayo! Above is a the cake I slaved on tonight for my work potluck tomorrow. After getting so many complements on my weak ass shamrock cake I made in March, I knew I had to kick it up a notch. Now if I receive compliments on this cake I won't be ashamed to accept them. I think it turned out pretty good, except for the cone part is a little too high. I just hope people will be able to tell what it is! Maybe I should have put it on someones head...oh well.

Here was my inspiration for the cake:
After the cake I then had to make some guacamole. We are having a salsa and guacamole contest as work as well. I really hope I win, although my guac isn't anything special. I mean it's good...but I'm not sure if it will stand out enough to win.

My weekend wasn't too eventful, except I did get a massage on Saturday and it was SO WONDERFUL! I think it had been like 4+ years since I had had one too! Let me say that I want to get one at least once a month now! I was so amazed at how the masseur could find knots in my back that I never knew were there! I really need to start playing the lotto.

Game On!

So I must admit that Sarah is speaking the truth. I can’t help it if I’m totally awesome at video games! She should really be thankful that I’m forcing her to be the best she can be. I mean we all know I’m totally innocent in this situation.

After I had reached my high score I clicked off that page, only to find that it ERASES your score! I know!! So I panicked and had to play again, so I could prove with my screenshot, that I am in fact awesome at this game.

If you would really like to waste some time, check it out.

Another one of my faves is penguin baseball. I think I got a 319 today. Again...if you have time to waste, check it out:

In other exciting news…look what I found online today!! Printable temporary tattoos!!! Can you just imagine how much fun you can have with these? Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
