Even though we lost...

...I still had the BEST time! This past weekend in Madison, Wisconsin was definitely one of the best weekends of my life. I have so much to write about and I'm hoping to find the time to do that today. My foot is feeling better although it's still a tad swollen. (Too much celebrating at the game). However now that I'm able to walk on it more my to do list is huge! We are heading down to my sister-in-law's house for Turkey day and I need to get cookin'!

Is there a Doctor in the House?

I've apparently injured my Achilles tendon...and I have NO IDEA how.

It was a little sore last Sunday, but I didn't think much of it. It would only hurt if I had been sitting for awhile and then got up and walked around. I'd limp around a bit and then it would loosen up. On Wed./Thurs. It hurt most of the morning but then by the afternoon I'd forget about it. But then on Friday it was hurting worse and now I'm limping around like a total gimp!

Now I've been icing it and wearing an ace bandage. I noticed it was swollen but by wearing the bandage it has gone down a bit. I've really tried to stay off of it this weekend, but unfortunately I haven't notice a huge improvement. I'm going to try to go to the doctor tomorrow and maybe he will be able to give me some info for a speedy recovery because John and I are going to WISCONSIN on Friday!!

Have we lost our minds? Are we really going from 85 degrees to 35 degrees with scattered flurries? Yes we are and I can't wait!
This coming weekend Cal Poly is playing Wisconsin in their final regular season game. For those of you who don't know, Wisconsin is a Division 1 school and CP is Division 2. Obviously it's a bit of a mismatch and we aren't expecting a victory, however we are expecting a once in a lifetime experience! We can only imagine what it's going to be like to attend a college football game a such a large school...and a game in such cold weather. I'm also very excited to be visiting another state and another college town. I can't wait to see what it is like.

I think CP will be able to stay close to Wisconsin for maybe a half. At least I hope. They have already made the playoffs so we are guaranteed one more home game. (As season ticket holders we had first dibs on the tickets). Hopefully they will get 2 play off games but I'm not sure if we will be traveling for the second one.

I have the feeling I'll have more time to blog this week if I'm ordered by the doc to stay off my feet. However with me being sedentary I'm not sure how many interesting blog topics I'll come across. Stay tuned...

I see you!!!

So I still do not have my new modem, although it's supposed to arrive sometime today. I'm giving it until 7pm. In the mean time I've found some free connection that is some what close to my house. Maybe the airport? VONS? I have no idea, but I have to be sitting some where near our window seat to get the connection. It often goes out while I'm trying to do some serious surfing, and has been really frustrated. However now for some reason I've got a really strong connection so I've decided to blog!

In the midst of my internet depression one good thing came out of it today. The new Gmail Video chat. It is AWESOME! Have you used it? It's really easy, (if you have a gmail account that is.) All you have to do is download the software and then you are ready to go! I know a lot of you have gmail accounts out there, but do you have web cams? I'm sure it's not that likely, but let me tell you that it would be totally worth it to go out and buy one. Put it on your Christmas wish list STAT!

Here are two screenshots from my chat with my mom today. First with Bella and then with Pearla.

My other friend Sarah V. also downloaded the software and we also had a brief chat. It's so cool! I have the feeling that the next thing Gmail invents will be a group video chat. So if you have family or friends that live far away I highly suggest in checking it out. The one downfall is that the person can tell if you aren't paying attention to them. Not that it happened to me...just FYI.

Dicsonnected

Modem broken...let the panic set in.

That is right. My modem broke on Thursday night and I won't be getting a new one until Wednesday!!! I feel so disconnected! (I'm stealing a connection right now...but the account name is 'Wireless'. I know weird).

Luckily my family is here visiting for an extended weekend for my dad's birthday. On Friday we had to do down to the library to use their free connection and I have the feeling I may be going down there again before Wednesday.

Just a little update to let you know that I haven't fell off the face of the earth!

Advice Please

Let's say a friend of your gave you a cool gift for Christmas one year. Then maybe 3 years later you want to give them the same gift, but a different design. Is that tacky? Part of me thinks it is and part of me thinks it isn't. I personally always try to give gifts to people that I too would enjoy. What if this was the same case for my friend? What if she really wanted the gift for herself? Would I be doing her an awesome favor buy giving her the same thing? Let me know what you would do please!

Halloween Sneak Peak

Sorry for the lack of posts! Last weekend we had a last minute trip up to Humboldt for a funeral service, which only gave me last week to get ready for our Halloween party. Hence the lack of posts. Don't get your hopes up though...this is not a recap of the party. I need more time for that post, but don't worry! I took notes, so you will hear all the gorey details. As for now I will leave you with these two teaser photos. One very important thing we learned on Halloween is that 16 year old girls LOVE Pauly Bleeker...and his orange Tic-Tacs.

Why are we posing like this? Click here.

Doesn't everyone look great?
